Get off prime time TV, Obama. You don’t have a corkscrew to plug the oil well. You’re just pandering for ratings. who is paying for prime time anyway? My guess, we the people, one way or the other.

I would like to know why people are giving Parker Griffith down the road all the time for changing parties. It’s like he’s some kind of Benedict Arnold or something. He had sense enough to get out of what he knew was wrong. He got into something, found out they were dirty and crooked, so he got out of it. anybody with a brain does that. He was the most sensible person running. He had sense enough to get out.

All of the people that’s looking for fresh seafood, go to Maine, go somewhere else besides down where the oil spill is. get your food up where it’s cold weather and you ain’t going to have to worry about that. I don’t want to see the gas prices go up because somebody makes some kind of ignorant mistake and blew up and killed a bunch of innocent people and didn’t do what they were supposed to do. It’s called OSHA overseeing the project – it didn’t happen.

Someone should inform the Florence City Council that they shouldn’t play together because they sure can’t get along with each other.

I have had family and friends to stay at the former Holiday Inn on several occasions. All the employees were very nice, friendly and helpful from check-in to check-out. Shame on you … for reducing the salaries for this tremendous group of people who will be running your business for you.

Just two quick comments on the BP issue. Don’t get mortal man confused. Only God can cut that spigot off and everybody deep down knows that, so quit trying to place blame. The other item – the fellow wondering who would put BP gas in their car. we all better be. They’ve got to pay for it. keep them propped up.

This is in response to the person who left the comment about getting her grandson some fries at a fast food restaurant and the too much salt. You can request no salt on your fries and they will fix you some fresh ones. That’s what we do because we don’t eat a lot of salt.

The constitutional duty to defend us against enemies foreign and domestic has no relation to the tragic accident in the Gulf. I’m amazed and disappointed in the countless misuse of this mandate.

I’m calling about BP. I will continue buying gas from BP because if BP goes under, where is the money going to come from to clean up all of this oil mess around our Gulf Shores?

Oil? I thought they said we had an oil shortage and need to get a pipeline started in Alaska. Huh. Looks like somebody lied. We’ve got plenty of oil right here.

Suggestion: for those people who let left-out garbage cans bug them, do like I do. take a few seconds and pull their cans back to the house for them. Solve the problem.

If the politicians in Muscle Shoals was worth their salt, they would have already had Wilson Dam Road four-laned to Highway 72. But they’re not; they’re just politicians. nothing else.

I’ve been reading all of these little stupid, nit-picky stuff in the paper about picking up your garbage cans and stuff. Tell you what, they’re ain’t nothing worse in the world than a nosy neighbor. And just for that fact, I’m going to take my garbage can to the road today and wait until Tuesday before I pick it up.

You know, to President Obama, this BP disaster, like the other items, you remain cool and collected and today you worked out a great settlement for the people on the coast. It’s refreshing to have a leader while everybody’s pointing fingers and sweating and wringing hands … you stay collected. Thank you.

This is for all the Alabama State Troopers out there that’s driving 45 mph in the left lane on U.S. 72. You’re impeding traffic. get in the right lane.

The reality: No one knows yet what lies ahead in Jones’ recovery, even the new York specialists that now are taking care of him after a transfer from Louisiana.  Dr. Russell Warren, the surgeon-in-chief at the Hospital for Special Surgery, says Jones will undergo additional neurological, vascular, plastic, and orthopedic surgery over the next several weeks. “Since he will undergo several additional procedures over the next few weeks, no prognosis has been given,” Warren said.Jones underwent surgery on Saturday and has another one planned for Tuesday, to replace skin on his leg.  We wish the Jones family all the best on what must be an enormously difficult holiday weekend, away from home.  “Nobody has said whether Chad will play again or not,” Al Jones said. “We’re not even asking that question right now.”
