Recycle it forward
Digital Wish and Cartridges for Kids have teamed up to launch Recycle Forward, a new program that lets schools raise money for technology by recycling cell phones, used electronics and ink cartridges.
Money earned is automatically matched with another 2 percent to 10 percent in funding on Digital Wish. Funds earned will automatically appear in the school’s Digital Wish account. you can register at recycleforwardnow.org.
Thinking green
Make it a green school year at ThinkGreen.com/classroom with free K-12 lesson plans, videos and interactive tools. Highlights include:
- K-5: what is in our Trash? Students examine items to determine what they are made of.
- 6-8: Trash Talk. Students learn about the environmental consequences of too much waste and identify potential solutions.
